HYPNOSIS FOR THE SURGICAL PATIENT: 3.0 CEU
Relevant research proves hypnosis is effective to reduce fear, and aid in healing before and after surgery. In this program learn key techniques to reduce pre-op anxiety and post-op pain. Learn methods to reduce fear and shorten the surgical time for procedures. Hypnosis can reduce anxiety, nausea and vomiting, pain and hospital stays. Hypnosis increases the immune system and decreases recovery time by promoting a healing attitude.
ONCOLOGY AND HYPNOSIS: 1.5 CEU
The nurse will learn to use hypnosis to create a sense of control and hope for the patient. Learn language that can decrease N/V and suspend time during treatment. Understand stress management techniques proven to increase the immune system.
Jane Govoni is a Board Certified Hypnotist, as well as an instructor for the National Guild of Hypnotists. Jane is certified in medical hypnosis, pain management, clinical hypnosis and pediatric hypnosis. She has been a hypnotist for thirty years, but it is her personal experience of healing from a stroke caused by a rare brain disease that has taught her the most about healing with hypnosis.
